Dental Surgeon (BDS) — in private practice since 1988, serving the rural community of Islampur, Sangli District, Maharashtra, India. More than 35 years of clinical experience, known for compassionate, community‑focused care.
Journey into Running & ChiRunning- Sedentary work, irregular clinic hours, and poor eating patterns led to significant weight‑gain and recurring injuries despite regular swimming. Began running for weight‑loss, but frequent overuse injuries kept derailing progress.
2015: Attended ChiRunning Instructor Training in Hong Kong and discovered the injury‑free technique that transformed his running.
2016: Certified ChiRunning & ChiWalking Instructor, trained and awarded by founders Danny & Katherine Dreyer.
Credentials & Leadership- Regional Director, ChiRunning India 2018-2024 — appointed by Master Instructors Danny Dreyer and Hing Yen Lee (Singapore).
Master Instructor (2023) — conferred by Harrison Wong, Regional Director for Asia (India & China).
Assisted and co‑taught ChiRunning instructor courses with global Masters in Mumbai, Jakarta, Bangkok (2017‑2023).
Running Achievements –
Personal Best Half‑Marathon: 1 hr 42 min (three gold‑medal age‑group finishes).
Participant in multiple full marathons and the Mumbai 12‑Hour Ultra Marathon.
Teaching Impact- 3,000+ runners trained through workshops and lectures in Mumbai, Pune, Sangli, Satara, Karad, Solapur, Kolhapur, Durg, Dubai, Budapest, Indonesia, Bangkok, Jakarta, and more.
Led India’s first ChiRunning/ChiWalking Instructor Training (20 candidates) alongside Danny Dreyer, Hing Yen Lee, and senior Asian instructors.
Learning from Global Masters- Continual mentorship under international experts including Angela James (Canada), Clarence Chan (Singapore), Vince Vaccaro (USA), Tang Siew Kwan (Singapore), Loreen Ozolins (New Zealand), and others.
Mission- To share the joy of pain‑free, mindful running and walking—helping people move with efficiency, freedom, and happiness.
Availability– Conducts group workshops, institutional trainings, and college sessions on Saturdays or select Sundays. Open to collaborations across India and Asia for events that promote injury‑free, joyful movement.
